What to know before you request a quote.
How does contractor matching work?
You submit property details and pick a capture window. Sending a request does not charge you — we reply within one business day with a proposed date and a service agreement. Then we assign a vetted local operator in your market (Matterport Pro3 equipment). We stay your single point of contact.
Is the person who quotes me the same person who scans?
Usually no. depthNest is the business you book with. On site work is done by networked contractors and capture companies. That is intentional: it keeps scheduling reliable when demand is high and jobs span many markets.
Does picking a date book the job?
For single-site captures, sending a request asks us to confirm a day inside your window. We reply within one business day with a proposed date and a service agreement — nothing is charged to send the request. Portfolio programs are scheduled on a call.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. Enter your square footage and see a quote. That quote is not final until after capture — if measured area differs by more than 5% or 500 sq ft, we recalculate at the same rates (billed if larger, credited if smaller). Finishing the calculator does not book the job; booking happens when you sign and return the service agreement.
Commercial vs residential vs industrial: why different rates?
Scan density and access differ: open warehouses move faster than partitioned offices or finished homes. The quote wizard prices per building type so mixed sites stay accurate.
Can we do multiple buildings or a franchise rollout?
Yes. You can price up to 20 buildings in one self-serve request with tiering by property type. A scoping call is offered on any multi-site quote and required above 20 buildings — you still see a real price and can submit. When a free capture applies, the credit equals the lowest-priced capture in that group. Start at /book or /portfolio.
Do you replace our facilities or portfolio software?
No. We deliver twins, plans, and optional BIM exports. You keep your CMMS, facilities, or brand tools. depthNest is the capture and booking layer those teams can share.
What about BIM or CAD?
Bonus add-ons in the quote flow: BIM/Revit/E57 packages and schematic DWG. Skip any you do not need. They are optional extras on top of the base capture.
